Current Bible Studies for Women
Sunday Morning
"Romans: How to Be Right with God, Yourself and Other" No other book of the Bible more clearly illuminates the path of the Christian life than the book of Romans. Paul's power-packed letter stands as a treatise on our faith, tackling important topics such as sin, justification, sanctification and more. Every Christian desires to "be right" about their faith. How we live out our faith holds eternal significance. But in order to be right, we must know what, why and how come we believe in Christ. Martin Luther described Romans as "the most important piece in the New Testament," and wrote: "It is well worth a Christian's while not only to memorize it word for word by also to occupy himself with it daily, as though it were the daily bread of the soul."

"No Other Gods: Confronting Our Modern-Day Idols " Written by Kelly Minter, this study offers a revealing look at the heart of a woman. The topic of false gods is a significant one; not something banned to foreign lands and ancient times. but one we deal with on a regular basis withing the confines of our hearts. Most of our desires are healthy. Yet these longings can become passions we not only pursue, but worship. They can be simple things like people, houses, careers, shopping, or food; things that may have grown into idols simply by how much we desire them. Of, they can be the more obvious false gods lie alcohol, drugs, or pornography. Regardless of our idols, they all take the place of God in our lives, something He is not keenly given to because of His great and jealous love for us. Discover how much God desires to free us from such powerless, yet deceptive, gods so that we can make room for His all-surpassing presence to move in our lives. Discover the freedom in surrender; the healing in worship; and the joy found in exchanging everyday gods for the one true God.
