There are many seasons of life. Some of us can’t wait to get to the next season, or phase, of our life…while others wish their current season would never end. As women, we all have one thing in common, though, no matter what season of life we’re in…we all want to be connected to someone as we journey through life.
The GBC Women's Ministry has been designed to meet the needs of women - just like you - through all seasons of life as you journey with Christ. Whether you are looking for friendship in the sunny seasons of life, or encouragement and support for the cloudy seasons, the journey is better when you are connected!
The women’s ministry at Greenwood is a vibrant, engaging group of women from all seasons of life. We encourage you to pray about where God would have you be involved and get connected with this exciting ministry. "I want their hearts to be encouraged and joined together in love, so that they may have all the riches of assured understanding, and have the knowledge of God's mystery - Christ. In Him all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden." Colossians 2:2-3

Small Group Bible Studies A great place to meet real women who desire to live for God! Through involvement in a small group Bible study, you’ll be connected to God through His Word and find support from women of all ages and seasons of life. Learn how to study your Bible and let God speak to you from scripture. Find encouragement to help you through daily life by applying practical, biblical truths to your life. Groups are available on Sunday morning, Wednesday night and online. It's easy to find the small group that fits your needs. Discover Hope Ministry Did you know that 43% of women have an abortion in their past? Many daily carry the pain and feel alone. Are you one of these women? You are NOT alone ~ God wants to give you HOPE, healing & peace! Join others who have walked this journey in "Surrendering the Secret", a Bible study designed to heal the heartbreak of abortion. His Healing Hands We all need a comforting hand during seasons of grief. When that hand is offered with the love and comfort of Christ, it helps us walk through the grieving process. Whether you want to share or rather listen...need a hug or need someone to lift you up in prayer when you just don't seem able to do so yourself...this group is for you. Conferences Join women from across the state and country for regional and national conferences. You’ll enjoy connecting to God through worship, challenging speakers and fellowship with other Christian women. Ministry Tree Hands-on ways to meet specific needs of women in our church and community - by women just like you! Opportunities to connect through the ministry are endless - making a meal, sending a card, placing a phone call, etc. Please let us know when you become aware of a ministry need. The Comfort Project This ministry is dedicated to showing orphans around
the world God’s love and comfort in tangible ways, chosen according to their
need, through practical items such as quilts, blankets and books. Whether you have years of experience with sewing or just a willing heart to learn, the children that receive these items will not be examining your seams but embracing your love! Be involved by sewing, praying for the orphans, and donating supplies. With projects going to China, Uganda, Hong Kong, Haiti and more, many opportunities to comfort orphans are available year round. ServeFest Spend a Saturday morning in the spring serving those in our community in practical, tangbile ways: handing out water bottles, singing at the retirement home, planting flowers, working at the Center of Hope, etc. You'll be amazed at how connected you'll become to other women while serving together. Connection Cafe Kick off the year in Women’s Ministry by renewing and beginning new connections with women in our church and community. Enjoy a casual, fun-filled evening in the Fall, complete with a meal and lots of fun! Take home the new Connection Catalog, a photo directory of women. This is a great way to get connected! Cozy Christmas Coffee At the beginning of December come share in a night to celebrate Christmas. A special time to make new friends, eat some yummy holiday foods...all while giving to our community through donations of slippers (for the nursing homes) and baby blankets (for Grace House). GBC Library Ready to curl up with that great book your friend suggested? Want a book to help you grow in your walk with Christ? Find it in our Church Library. Located in the Youth Building, the Library is open weekdays, as well as Sunday morning and Wednesday night. Contact ~ Women's Team
